Post Title:                     Full-time Faculty (Open Rank) in Arts

Position Summary: General Education Program under the College of Humanities and Education is looking for applicants to the full-time faculty in Fine Arts position (for rank Senior Lecturer or Assistant Professor) for Academic Year 2021-2022 (with possibility of renewal). A new faculty member can teach Drawing, Painting, Arts and Visual Culture and Design Foundations and develop new offerings as well.

Main Purposes of the Post:

  1. To undertake and manage the delivery of teaching and learning including related academic activities and academic administration.
  2. To help develop and expand the arts programs at KIMEP.

Compensation

Rank and salary are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation after ­tax compares favorably with net salaries in western countries.

Limited on campus housing is available to rent, or alternatively, help is available in finding off campus housing. In addition to salary, a benefit package includes basic healthcare insurance, reduced tuition rates for KIMEP courses, and subsidy for relocation allowance. New faculty members are provided with a reduced teaching schedule during the first semester. Summer paid teaching is typically available.

 

The salary will be subject to deduction of taxes (10% Personal Income tax in general) as required by the Law of Kazakhstan. First 183 days of staying in Kazakhstan a employee-foreigner has 20% income tax, after 183 days he/she has 10% personnel income tax.
