KIMEP, School of Law is looking for applicants for the following position: 

Job Title:                       Academic Coordinator

Division:                        Academic Affairs

Department:                 School of Law

Position reports to:      Dean of the Law School

Job Purpose Summary: To provide academic services to law students and related administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Advise students and applicants on Law School curricula and KIMEP academic policies and procedures; act as a faculty resource in the same areas;
• Document the student support provided for student records, accreditation and/or attestation purposes, approve form of submitted theses;
• Make and amend semester course schedules, coordinate with adjunct instructors
• Assist in preparation of and participation in student recruitment and orientation events
• Research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making by others;
• Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences and project team activities;
• Type and word-process various documents and electronic information, serve as secretary of faculty meetings;
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor, including fill-in for Law School Business Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: (1) Must be a law graduate of a Kazakhstan law school or possess a master’s degree in academic counseling or a related subject; (2) fluent in business/legal English and Russian: (3) minimum 2 years of related experience; (4) high emotional intelligence and ability to manage intra-institutional conflict; (5) able to work with individuals from other cultures; (6) proficient in all MS Office software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fluent in professional Kazakh language.
