Job Title: Director (INTERNAL SEARCH)

Position reports to: Provost and General Deputy to the President
Job Purpose Summary:
Reporting to the Provost and General Deputy to the President, the Director of SSD is responsible for the day to day monitoring and supervision of all campus infrastructure and supervision of all campus facilities, services and construction. Director of SSD represents NJSC KIMEP University both on campus and off campus to accomplish this role.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Director of SSD carries on the following duties:
- Responsible for day to day management of civil defense, safety and security, facilities management, auxiliary services as may be necessary to contract and accomplish construction and maintenance
- Monitoring and supervision of:
- Central Utilities
- Campus Safety and Security
- Construction and alteration of buildings
- Operation of dining facilities, student center and sport complex
- Transportation support services
- Management and supervision of property and maintenance of all buildings, roadways, and associated plant
- Supervise, direct, manage and lead all employees and senior managers within the departments of Plant, Transportation, Maintenance, Gardening, Internal Security, Building Management, Engineering, Civil Defense, Fire and Labor Protection Departments and leasing of campus properties.
- Planning, coordinating and defining needs for the campus and infrastructure and to provide those plans to the PGDP and other Senior Executives as required for institutional planning
- Plan and control budget realization for fixed assets current maintenance and repair
- Develop plans for reconstruction and repair of the existing buildings, premises and territory, as well as new buildings construction
- Verify and approve costs estimate on administrative and construction activities and purchases from outside companies
- Verify and approve acts of works performed as regards all works performed, administrative activity and purchases from outside companies
- Set a list of staff members, plan appropriate trainings, plan quantity of staff, determine work schedule for employees of the reporting sections and units
- Supervise employees work quality and correct as necessary for high quality results
- Participate in selected committees of KIMEP
- Coordinate activities in association with other departments of the University
- Work closely with the Director of Residence Life and Housing Department to ensure the campus residents facilities are maintained and problems quickly addressed
- Develop annual construction plans for both capital projects and normal maintenance of campus. Submit monthly reports on the work performed to the direct supervisor and KIMEP management
- Director of SSD will represent the PGDP and NJSC KIMEP University as needed with respect to municipal and government meetings regarding commodities, facility, service, legal, and plant requirements
- Ensure the SSD staff are following the KIMEP University Values Statements
- Other duties as assigned by the PGDP or other administrators
Qualifications:
Director of Support Services Division must have:
- Minimum degree at the bachelors’ level in business, engineering, architecture or in another relevant discipline;
- At least 5 years of management experience in Supervising trade and service staff;
- English is required.
